Overview
Call for Workshop Proposals
IEEE ICDCS 2026 will be hosting workshops in conjunction with the conference, which will be held in South Korea. We invite you to submit workshop proposals on any topic related to the research and application areas covered by IEEE ICDCS 2026.
Topics representing new research areas and directions are especially welcome, including Distributed Artificial Intelligence (AI), Distributed Machine Learning (ML), Emerging Technologies, Industrial IoT Systems, Cloud, Mobile & Edge Computing, Open and Secure Networking, and Blockchain applications in Distributed Computing Systems.
All workshops will be held in conjunction with the ICDCS 2026 Conference.
Submission Requirements
Proposal Contents
A workshop proposal should be up to 4 pages in length (IEEE 8.5″ × 11″ two-column format, 10pt fonts) submitted as a single PDF file and must contain the following:
- 01Workshop Title — A clear, descriptive title for the workshop.
- 02Organizer Information — Names, affiliations, phone numbers, and email addresses of all proposed organizers. The organizing team should consist of at least two persons with a strong track record in the relevant technical issues.
- 03Technical Description — A brief overview of the workshop topic, identification of specific technical issues, focus areas, and justification of its timeliness.
- 04Planned Format — Details of the workshop structure, including:
- One-day or half-day workshop
- Expected number of attendees (room size)
- Number of refereed papers, hot topic sessions, keynotes, and panels
Unique, creative, and novel workshop formats are strongly encouraged and will be given particular consideration. - 05Tentative Call for Papers — Proposed important dates (paper submission, notifications), potential PC members, potential speakers or keynotes.

- Previous conference co-locations
- Workshop URLs, if available
- Approximate past attendance
Selection Process
Evaluation Criteria
Acceptance will be based on an evaluation of the following criteria:
Potential for Impact
The workshop's potential to generate valuable results and meaningful contributions to the field.
Participant Interaction
Ability to encourage and foster rich interactions and discussions among workshop participants.
Timeliness & Interest
Relevance and timeliness of the topic and the expected level of community interest.
Organizer Capability
The proposers' demonstrated ability to lead a successful, well-organized workshop.
After Acceptance
Organizer Responsibilities
Accepted workshop organizers are expected to carry out the following responsibilities:
- →Perform additional advertising in related communities outside the main IEEE ICDCS community.
- →Create and maintain a dedicated workshop website.
- →Arrange for the collection and refereeing of all workshop paper submissions.
- →Coordinate the collection and delivery of camera-ready material and IEEE copyright transfers.
